If there have been police-related stun-gun deaths, it does seem strange to avoid addressing this particular problem. Questions one could ask: were the deaths related to misuse (i.e., lack of training)? were the deaths due to poor engineering or malfunction? Or was it intentional misuse on the part of the police? These are dangerous weapons but let's address the problem that's actually occuring.

The problem that is occurring is people are making excuses for the criminals that fight the police and get tased.

Summary

Requires a license to carry a taseror other stun gun.

Background

Places tasers and stun guns in the same class as handguns. There has been at least 16 deaths due to Taser use (by police) in Texas. /1/
