Strict matching requirments
by SoniaS on Feb 15, 2007 13:09:12
I have no problem with the intent of this bill by Naishtat. My only concern is that there be strict safeguards in the name matching, so that if there is any question what so ever, the voter may not be removed from the rolls until there has been a through investigation. In the felon voter purge in Florida for the 2000 Presidential election, the name match paramaters were set so wide, that a C. Anderson would actually remove a Charles Anderson. We can't allow that to happen here.
