Summary

The bill creates a grant-writing program at the state level for school districts to use to fund school based health centers.

Currently, there is no consistent source of funding from the state for school-based health centers. School districts often must fund grantwriting positions in order to seek additional funds for such centers. This bill coordiates and centralizes those efforts at the state level.
