Summary

Requires Beer kegs to be registered upon purchase, with a label identifying the seller. The seller must then keep a record of the purchaser of the keg for one year.

Background

23 states and DC require buyers of kegs to register./1/ This is registration process is aimed at reducing underage drinking.

Political Context

TABC has supported keg registration in the past./1/

Similar language in HB 193(79R) was voted favorably out of committee but died in calendars.
