Summary

Restricts lobbying, employment, and state contracts for state legislators for two years after their term.

Future jobs as lobbyists impact the percieved impartiality of legislators.

Six other states have a two-year moratorium (AL, FL, IA, KY, LA, NY), while 19 states have a one-year moratorium on lobbying by former legislators./1/
