Summary

This bill would move Primary Elections to the first Tuesday in February for all Election years.

Background

Currently, Texas has a March Primary. Moving the presidential primary up might make give Texas more influence in national elections. This bill moves all primaries to maintain a uniform primary date. (Compare to HB 993 which moves just presidential election years)
